Massage Treatments and Who they can benefit...
Here at Heart Mind and Soul in Clacton, Essex, we work with many clients with different types of ailments, afflictions, illnesses and needs, no matter their physical fitness level or age. The practice of massage has developed over 5000 years and originated in China. Western and other cultural ideas have been adopted into the practice and massage is now widely used as an essential part of health maintenance. Through a variety of different techniques massage can be used to release negative energy in the body, to detoxify the body, for relaxation, to improve health and to aid in the repair and recovery of the body from illness and injury.
We specialise in working with people with the following conditions:
Parkinson’s - Many clients find that having a massage helps them to relax, and whilst the therapist is using different techniques in kneading and rubbing manipulation the body, is also targeting trigger points which helps to realise tension within the body.
Amputees - Massage treatment may increase the blood flow to the amputation area, which may in turn help to improve circulation. Massage treatment can help to reduce pain to the area as poor Blood Circulation can cause serious discomfort and pain.
Stroke Patients - Massage therapy may help with rehabilitation after having a stroke. Massage treatments can help an individual client who has had a stroke by increasing serotonin levels, or alleviating depression and anxiety.
Depression and Anxiety - When suffering with depression it may help with reliving symptoms that are showing as physical symptoms which go hand in hand with depression. Massage can help alleviate sluggishness, back pain, joint pain, and muscle aches. It may help to relieve fatigue and sleeping problems.
